28 May, Minsk /Vladimir Vasilkov - BELTA/. A significant representative of the Vatican, Archbishop Zygmunt Zimowski, Chairman of the Pontifical Council for Pastoral Health Care, is visiting Belarus. This was reported to BELTA by the secretariat of the Conference of Catholic Bishops in Belarus.
The main purpose of Archbishop Zimowski's visit is to participate in the IV International Medical Conference "Problems of Medical Ethics in the Modern World," which will be held in Vitebsk on 29 May and is organised by the Vitebsk Diocese of the Roman Catholic Church in conjunction with the Vitebsk State Medical University. The Vatican representative will deliver a report at the forum titled "The Value of Human Life in Light of Church Teachings."
During his visit, the Archbishop will visit several parishes in Vitebsk and Glubokoye. -0-
